It's great to be back.....

Good to be back on Island after a trip away, and once again one is reminded of the beauty of the sea and this island. The pace of life is tranquil and the sun is shining constantly... how lovely.
Also nice to be able to promote a lovely new listing on the beautiful Grace Bay, that being the South Fleetwood resort, a small family run boutique hotel that has become available to purchase. What strikes me about this property is the care and attention to detail that the owners have put into this development over the years. It is time now for them to retire - hence the sale.

The island is going through a sticky patch at the moment, not only with the economy struggling generally around the world, affecting confidence but also with our local politics. Fortunately, common sense is prevailing and we look forward to the future as both the economy starts to turn and we get back to working hard together helping this unique spot on our planet move forward. We are SO lucky to live in a part of the world that enjoys a consistent climate, has easy access to the Americas, and offers a healthy lifestyle for and increasing number of people to enjoy.
It is hard to believe, when you drive down our main road on the island, visiting the lovely Grace Bay area (where huge development has just been completed in the main) that only 30 or so years ago, this island was a sleepy hollow, where only a few, under a thousand, lived. What a wonderful journey this island has made since then, and for those of us lucky enough to reside here, we are thankful for the efforts of others.

Its worth checking out our sister wesbsite for images of lifestyle here in Turks and Caicos and reading Jan's article published last year, that shows that it is possible to down tools and move overseas to enjoy anohter lifestyle. If the will is there, it can happen - we only live once.
